Any given Saturday in the fall (when the Volunteers are playing at home), upwards of around 200 vessels can be found moored at the Vol Navy docks outside Neyland Stadium. Larger vessels are moored right up to the docks, with smaller boats given the opportunity to tie off in a row. The Vol Navy is informally overseen by the Vol Navy Boaters Association, which was founded in 2002.
