In reference to George's service as a member of Knoxville’s City Council: “I wanted to use my platform to make meaningful change,” George said, recalling how his time on the council opened his eyes to the city’s diversity and challenges.
“Unless we’re intentional about building relationships, they won’t happen,” George explained, emphasizing the importance of connecting with people who have different experiences and perspectives.
Though George considered running for mayor, he chose instead to focus on fostering meaningful relationships and small but impactful actions. “It’s the small things that make a difference,” he said, underscoring his belief in the power of personal connections to create lasting change.
