Real Estate Training and Business Development

TRAINING AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Learn the Work. Build the Business.

Good training should change what you can do with a client and what you do with your time. Wallace combines foundational learning, ongoing skill development, broker mentoring, technology training, office workshops, and business planning for different career stages.

PRACTICE OVER INFORMATION

Turn classes into client-ready skills.

A useful learning system explains the concept, shows the process, gives the agent a chance to practice, provides feedback, and connects the skill to weekly activity. The goal is not course completion alone; it is better judgment, communication, preparation, and follow-through.

A Closer Look

What this looks like in practice.

WHAT AGENTS SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO

Build capability across the full client journey

Learning should cover relationship building, prospecting, follow-up, buyer and seller consultations, pricing and market data, property tours, offers, contracts, negotiations, inspections, appraisals, closing steps, technology, marketing, safety, ethics, fair housing, and business review.

A PLAN THAT REACHES THE CALENDAR

Translate annual goals into weekly actions

Start with desired outcomes, then identify realistic leading actions: conversations, follow-up, appointments, presentations, open houses, local learning, content, and client service. Put the actions on the calendar, track completion, and review conversion over time without treating activity as a guaranteed result.

BROKER MENTORSHIP AND FEEDBACK

Use experience before the situation becomes urgent

Wallace describes its broker mentors as non-competing. Agents should bring questions, drafts, scenarios, and business decisions early. Coaching is most useful when the agent is honest about activity and prepared to apply the next step, not only seeking reassurance after a deadline has passed.

REVIEW THE INPUTS AND THE OUTCOMES

Use a short weekly scorecard

Track protected work blocks, meaningful conversations, follow-up completed, appointments set and held, agreements, contracts, closings, pipeline value, expenses, and learning applied. Review trends with context. A slow week is information; it should lead to a specific adjustment, not a complete reinvention.

Questions, Answered

Common questions, clearly answered.

The answers below are honest and specific. If yours is not here, ask it through the form – a member of the Wallace team will respond personally.

What real estate training does Wallace provide?
Wallace provides orientation, Agent Essentials, Foundation Academy, live virtual sessions, in-person events, office workshops, technology training, broker mentoring, business development, and online learning through the LeadingRE Institute.
Is Wallace training only for new agents?
No. Some programs are built for new-to-career or new-to-Wallace agents, while live sessions, office workshops, technology learning, network courses, business development, and broker guidance support active and experienced agents as well.
Does Wallace provide continuing education?
Wallace hosts learning and links agents to approved education resources, but not every class is automatically Tennessee continuing-education credit. Each event should clearly state whether credit applies, and agents remain responsible for verifying and tracking license requirements.
Can I take Wallace training online?
Wallace lists live virtual sessions and online learning through the LeadingRE Institute, along with in-person and office-level options. The current calendar should show format, audience, registration, location, and whether a recording is available.
How does business planning work for real estate agents?
A useful plan defines the market and clients you will serve, financial needs, lead and relationship sources, weekly actions, follow-up, skill development, expenses, conversion assumptions, review dates, and the support needed. It should be simple enough to use every week.
Does training guarantee production?
No. Training can improve knowledge, skill, preparation, and decision-making, but production also depends on consistent activity, relationships, client needs, market conditions, timing, expenses, and execution. No class or plan guarantees income or closings.
